Dr. Eunjung Shim, DMD, MSD
Periodontist and Implants
Dr. Shim is a Board Certified Periodontist with a comprehensive background in periodontal therapy.
She obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University in 2004 and subsequently completed a general practice residency at Staten Island University Hospital. After practicing as a general dentist for several years, Dr. Shim pursued advanced training in periodontics, culminating in a Master of Dental Science from the University of Tennessee in collaboration with the Memphis VA Hospital.
Dr. Shim's expertise encompasses a wide range of periodontal procedures, including extractions, bone grafting, sinus augmentation, dental implant placement, laser therapy, and conventional periodontal surgical techniques. Beyond traditional periodontal care, she is skilled in aesthetic procedures such as Botox injections, fillers, micro-needling with Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF), and other advanced techniques.
Committed to staying at the forefront of her field, Dr. Shim actively engages in continuous education, regularly participating in courses to stay abreast of the latest advancements and techniques in periodontics. Her dedication to ongoing learning reflects her passion for providing patients with the highest standard of care.
